ERA Silencer

The most important requirement for a silencer in hunting use is the most effective possible dampening of the muzzle blast to protect the hearing of humans and dogs.

We developed our ERA ® SILENCER with the goal of achieving the best possible damping with a compact design and the lowest possible weight – while maintaining full Magnum compatibility and a long service life.

The suppressors in our SOB series are designed as telescopic silencers (over-barrel). Part of the suppressor extends rearward beyond the barrel, allowing for excellent suppression values despite a short overall length. Furthermore, the first-shot blast typical of other silencers is reduced to an absolute minimum. Recoil and muzzle flash are also significantly reduced.

Our ERA® SILENCERS are easy to disassemble. The threaded bushings are interchangeable. By replacing the threaded bushing, the ERA® SILENCER can easily be used on other weapons of the same caliber with different barrel threads.

All ERA ® SILENCERS are also available or can be retrofitted with the new ERA ® LOC quick-release fastener. This allows the silencer to be attached and removed with just a quick 60° turn. A significant convenience for the active hunter.

Also included is a protective shield that mounts to the rear end of the over-barrel damper. It protects the barrel thread and damper from damage caused by lateral forces and prevents dirt and snow from entering.

The surface structure significantly reduces the buildup of powder residue inside the damper. Milled longitudinal grooves on the outside provide the necessary grip during assembly and ensure faster cooling.

The stepped design protects the sealing rings, as there is no contact with the powder residue in the outer tube during disassembly. A coating according to MIL-SPEC MIL-A-8625F Type III meets the highest requirements for hardness and corrosion resistance.
